I'm new to InDesign and just noticed that the standard (black) swatch appear grey in the swatch library, which effects text aswell as making my images appear as if they have a slight transparency. The value is set to K=100 as it should, but it both appears grey on the screen and prints grey.
Please advice!

First of all update your InDesign to 2.01.
Second go to menu:
Window>TransparencyWhen window opens make sure that your transparency for current object is set to 100%.
Hope this solves it.
