What applications do you use...
For what purpose...
How do you combine them...
On what machine?I'm using Aliassketch [2.0], Illustrator [9.0], Electricimage [2.5] and I've got VectorWorks [8.5]..
On a 350G3BW448MB, but that doesn't at all work comfortable.. I could try to run Maya in OSX...?Tell me!
Help me..

i've heard that quite a few use ArchiCAD which is (i think) like Autocad with more render options. Thats available for both windoze and mac.
you can get more info on it here: http://www.graphisoft.com/

AliasSketch, Illustrator and EI, are not exactly "architectural applications".
Vector Works is a proper CAD program and I know people who are using it.
I used to work on ArchiCad 7.0 but I switched to a pc with Autocad Architectural Desktop and occasionaly use the ArchiCad version for pc.

We use Maya 4.5 at school under osx (but the old one, not the cat one), all I can say is that if you don't save a lot you loose your time, and even more as you did before.

I'm also using VectorWorks a bit, but clear 'plans' are easily to be done in illustrator... compatibility might be a problem, but 'everybody' who sees my drawings thinks I did it in AutoCAD.. Thesame for my 3D stuff in AliasSketch.. "Did that in Maya?" I really like ElectricImage though! Found out some really nice texture stuff, using alpha and creating wicked animations. Dope! [not just architecture I'm interested in...]

Just started using Cinema 4D.
Not good for building from plans, but the materials and freeform functions are really nice.New Maya is out for OSX. Havent busted it open yet tho...
