the name "chromatic" or "chromatic media" for a design firm?
seems pretty safe and catchy.

personally I bored of names that sound anything close to techy and definately anything that features the word 'lab'

what does "stucco" have to do with my business?
everything obvious is too obvious. and everything not obvious is taken.
it's all about friendly nonsense words now.

What about "Bass-O-Matic?"
Has an untraditional feel to it. Don't ya think?

oh good. I thought your firm was going to specialize in bevels.
I like stucco.

Just be direct. You know whats a good name for a band? The Dave Matthews Band (i'm talking about the name not the music). Its simple and TO THE POINT. nothing trendy.
my 2 cents.

Names don't always connote the same thing five years down the road (witness "labs" which through repetition and replication has become overly familiar, as i can say from personal experience).
But what are you gonna do? That's how people know you.
