hey did anyone notice all the screw-ups in this movie. the size ratios between the actors and the cgi creatures were constantly off. when that elf dude was fighting that badger-like thing, it really looked like doo-doo! probally more to list. so list it!

I was too amazed to notice.

There should be a "Two Towers" drinking game. If you see a panoramic flyby, take a shot.
Upwards of fifteen minutes, you'll be on your ass.

lol. drqshadow.
The whole movie was ruined by that lame ass shieldboarding scene. :(

so what movies out recently do you guys like then - those Rob Shneider movies? Maybe there aren't as many flaws in those?
I mean don't tell LOTR is the only movie out there with some CG problems and unbelievable actions.
why attack the 2 towers?

oh shit I just realised that alot could be read into that last question I asked?

Though I was amazed by the film... I have to admit there was one disappointing element: the "wargs" (orc-wolves). I can't put my finger on it, but something about the movement, especially the distance shots... looked just... "fake".

james while you were busy being too amazed i was busy being too bored in between action scenes to notice...
the first one was cool, but damn was the second one drawwwwwn ouuuuuuuuut
of course that's just my opinion.

I didn't think the wargs were very convincing or consistant. And if they're supposed to be wolves, why do they look like hyenas, down to the colour and spots?
The oliphants were wicked though.

I thought the character animation of Gollum was incredible. I would have seen it again straight away...

you are all HUGE dorks

I agree. Shield-boarding scene ruined the movie. That and the glazed sexual tension between frodo and sam. what the hell was that bullshit speach about "good being left in the world". I don't remember anything that cheezy in the book, but it has been a while since i read them so I could be wrong, or maybe it just sounded better on paper.

zerodot: That "glazed sexual tension" practically defines their relationship in the books/movies.
Perhaps you recall how they hold hands and rest their heads (cough) in each others laps in the book?
Or maybe it's just that they're really close friends and it's mistaken as homoerotic these days.

personally, i thought the movie was awesome...
best cgi i've ever seen and almost dead on the money for being close to the books ...

I didn't notice the sexual tension between Frodo and Sam. But a friend had some observations that were funny.
He saw the whole thing as English schoolboys afraid of vaginas (the firey "eye" yannic symbol) and the moors (the uruk-hai .. played by black men).
hehe anyway I love the movie despite that. There may have been some slight weaknesses, but I agree that golem was awesome.

Did anyone else notice the sexual tension between me and the dude sitting beside me at the theatre? I realize the seating is tight in some theatres but was his hand accidentally touching my leg the whole time?

man, i was just tryin to figure out how this guy got into the film:
