Hello all,
I almost finished my 2nd portfolio website. I need 1000% true comment or feedback from you guys. CRITIQUE MY WEBSITE.
Thanks in advance.

please don't resize my browser window. it is damn annoying, and especially inapropriate for your site...
i like the colour scheme, and seperating the nav from the main content page using a 'window' layout is a plus.
your logo doesn't sit to well with the sites design, especially with the typeface.

Don't get rid of the portfolio submenu when you click on an option in it, I'd only lose it when you click on another main menu option.
The music is annoying and the sounds on the buttons are too loud.
I like the colour scheme.
Might be a good idea to include an explanation / description of each piece of work.

I like the name TKforever. Are you down with TK? I'm in that crew. Old school hollywood crew. MEK, PRAE, JEST, UNIT, GESO, GONER, ROB, TRIPLE KROWN. 1988 - 2003

Sorry about that.
Email me if you want another, I'll be happy to do it...

The table on the right side top is off and making it look uneven.
Colors are nice, don't see too many red sites, good balance, even with the blue.
I agree about the music. Probably because I visit so many 'designer' sites, I am sick of music and button noises altogether. Maybe just make them more subtle.
I agree about the 'Port' menu should probably stay open once you enter it, at least until you view something else.
'Styleguide' isn't working
Music choices 1 and 3 take much too long to start playing. On that note, does anyone have any idea if music box things have any interest for the viewer? I mean, they seem kinda cool at first, but who really listens too them? I personally haven't been to a site in ages that I haven't immediately looked for the 'Stop'. That Seasons Records by 2A had some great loops and the old Designgraphik was great, but thats about it.

You need to attract some attention to the subnav when browsing the different sections of your portfolio. I thought you only had one piece in each category for a little while.
Overall, it's nice. The "D" logo in the upper left hand corner feels strange, and the breaking images in the "links" table are real nasty right now. I like the font you're using, it works with the layout, and I like the simulated-embossing effect you're doing on the tables.
I've gotta agree that resizing a browser window to full screen is incredibly annoying. That's usually instant death to any site for me, even if I'm looking forward to the content.
I'm still not quite sure what the "Prints" section is. It looks like a misc. portion, with bits of print design, 3-D, photography, typography, CG...
The layout doesn't take away from the portfolio, which is vital. It's got promise.

i would get rid of the clock - most people have one in the corner of the screen and you are just reading that one, so if it's wrong, yours is wrong, it's just a bit unneccessary
the subnav dissappearing is annoying [a bit]
it seems to be taking a long time to load - that could just be me though
the updates should be listed the other way up perhaps as people will generally look at the top for the latest
there seems also top be a js error on the page and the righthand box doesn't line up for me
picky i know, but you did ask

nice, but when I click on the link in the news section, the solar-sale site loads on that frame.
The spinning D is kind of cheesy and amaturish, should get rid of it.
- KingMob0
Yeah, that "D" animation looks hokey. I know you probably wanted it to look jerky on purpose but it looks like a mistake. Other than that, I guess it's well executed albeit unoriginal.
You should make the full-screen thing an option on your splash page instead of automatically doing it.

Thanks all for giving me real feedback that I have never had from anyone else.
It really helps me out to be better designer.
Again, Thanks all.

the beeps of the main menu are very slow. If you run your mouse quickly over all of them it takes a few sec. before you hear all of them. I find that annoying to me. But overall I like it. Red is the new black. So your colours are in style. Time to fine tune. good luck
- redFridge0
the color is nice.. wee red. :)
i agree with the sound being a bit overbearing.
the time and music are not needed.the current trend is minimal, but dont be afraid to figure out your style.
- backonDemas0
too much information on the preload.
who cares about it? i dont control my downloading so precisely
- unknown0
the sound bothers me.
- unknown0
I'm sorry, but I don't think you are Cyber D-sign Clan material.
- raybolger0
AAC? Did you have Niko? He was a sucky teacher- but your site looks dope. There's a grammatical error in your profile- it should read- "the" New Media Industry", I agree with the others about the sound/colors/info table.
good work though
- protoculture0
note: this review was done before reading any other posts. please forgive me if a repeat anything.
the sound for the buttons should turn off if the user selects to have the sound "stopped".
the sound when you rollover the buttons is delayed, making navigation confusing. the purpose of the rollover sound (like image rollovers) is to give the user feedback--"click me." the delayed sound ruins this notion.
you give no info on your contribution to the project (i.e. i designed it, i coded in html...)
the "subnavi" isn't obvious, so it took a while for me to find your portfolio pieces.
the "launch" or "download" buttons in your portfolio aren't obvious either. plus the user has to move the mouse around the "subnavi" in order to get there...
why does the subnav under portfolio on the left-nav disappear when you click on a portfolio subsection?
the solar sale link in your news section opens in the news frame.
don't mess with my (or anybody elses) browser window.
hope this helps.
