The one button mouse is cute, but I think it's time for Apple to make a mouse similar to the new bluetooth mouse from microsoft, for example.

Does anyone know if they are expecting to come out with a new mouse?
Thanks.

Apple sux at designing mouses.
I don't expect any change...

Yeah, they always put form over function. A shame especially when it comes to mouses.
The Pro Mouse only gives you cramps, but you know what say" "la beautée fait souffrir".

I bought a microcrap mouse a while back... it was fat, clumsy, ulgy, and felt like a cheap whore. I am sure that alot prefer the two button deal- but personally I am so use to using key commands- even when on my PC I almost next to never use the second button. To me... it just gets in the way... yeah yeah they say its faster and more efficient- but for who? Not for me and most likely plenty others. Although Apple should give the users an option but if I had a choice between a two button and a one button pro mouse I would choose the one button. Wireless two button mouse with scroll wheel and car radar detector and a switch to turn on the bedroom lights does help me work one bit.
Yes- the hockey puck mouse was probably the worst invention ever made.... I totally agree.

Personally I prefer the apple mouse (use them in the uni labs) it takes some getting use to but I liked it eventually. Microsoft mice however feel very clumsy and fat to me, too many buttons too, gets on my nerves and reminds me of stupid keyboards with buttons for "email, webcam, IM, internet radio" and other such shite as i saw when buying a new keyboard for a friend recently.
Personally on my Tibook I use a logitech travlleror something, very small metal one, find that quite nice but its scroll wheel is a bit clicky. Anyway I think apple should keep the pro mouse as it is, does the job great in my oppinion, give users an option? well they already have one, use the apple pro mouse or go buy a 3rd party mouse they all work perfectly in my experience if you want the extra buttons and 72 scroll wheels and a cd player and pair of pink fluffy dice then it will do the lot. No need to fix something that isnt broken
