What is the best magazine (on graphic design) I can buy?
And please tell me why!
Thanx :)

For me the best mags are from Future Publishing in UK. They make Computer Music UK and Computer Arts UK, some good stuff there.

i'd say Print Mag, Communication Arts and Idn.
the best one i bought so far..

id agree with Jason, Computer Arts has some great tutorials as well as good examples, a good cd every month. Plus i subscribe to the Specials Editions they do each year.

I'll third the Computer Arts. Ain't cheap, but more than worth it. I also subscribe to CA Specials and 3D World.
The diversity is great. I am more of a 3D guy than anything, but the tutes on web and print have been priceless.

creative review is a great resource, covering the best from all design disciplines (tv, print, web et al), and at a reasonable price (£5gbp)compared to the 'trade' publications

If you are from the uk then 'Face', 'Dazed & Confused', 'Wallpaper' and 'Creative Review' are a must.
If you are ever in need of some inspiration then purchase one/all of the above and your problems will be solved :)

Dazed and Confused are loads better than before since they change/reform the contents and design of the whole zine into a more vivid form, worth reading...

you must check out IDEA mag. great for inspiration. quite expensive, but worth it.

sometimes I really wonder the age of some of you designers out there. Some of your ideas are simply not too mature.
"Dazed and Confused" is a terrible magazine as a whole. There are aspects that shine but the editorial has no position or perspective(UGH!) "Wall Paper" still bleeds bigger is better which is the "COSMOPOLITAN" of design mags. The so called geniouses at FABRICA have not a clue of what to do with all those glorious photos--simply read Nation Geographic! There are a few magazines that really do get it:
Harpers Bazaar has some of the best writers around.
The Harvard Business Review actually has valuable content-beautiful design.
Punk Planet is a beeeeuuuutiful read and pure design control!!!
But by far the most hormonious blend of art and literature without ever losing there purpose is Wired Magazine-the research they put into there features is amazingthe best magazine of all times would be Rolling Stone (60s-80s)

out of the usual design magazines, I think HOW is the ugliest and worst, followed by Print.
