monitor trouble

    My monitor keeps popping. IT makes a noise and then goes black for a split second and then fades back on. It was doing this about once a day, but now it's about once every three or four minutes. Other than a new monitor is there any way to fix this? Could it be the socket or the plug?

    I can't afford a new monitor...

    call the manufacturer.

    monitors usually have some sort of waranty... I think mine is 5years.

    even if it's not a warranty issue, they might have some insight.
