it's fun. my friend, whom works at disney world let me ride it for a minute while i was down there on vacation. any more and he probably would get fired..but the couple of minutes i drove it around in circle was fun.

what happens when you're going full speed and you run into a stick or a curb or something to stpo the wheel? you're gonna end up on your face skidding across the concrete.

The Altanta PD was testing the Segway in the field for traffic cops and other folks over the summer. Shortly into the test, one of the officers fell off of his dorkcycle and smashed his knee like a piñata, except no candy came out.

Well, if you ever rode a motorcycle or a scooter, I don't think that these vehicules are more or less dangerous. In fact, because they can't do more than 15 mph (20 kph), they're safer. Sure if you smoke a reefer, then have a beer, then go out without a helmet, yes you can get hurt yourself. I even hurt my knees badly on the side of my bed the other day...

the benfit I can see is this MIGHT be picked up in the corporate secter as personale transportation. mail carries etc.
fleet management, navigation, etc will come in handy for that.I don't think you will plan your next snowboard trip on one of those badboys. I still want a fucking Vespa. but I have no room on my garage. :[
