New little Hip-Hop style sound loop that is actually a mini-song in the works. Piano, sampled horn/trumpet and sampled beats.

Biofreak, hi, I've recently chated with Crabmeister about a ton of things and he said some nice stuff about you. Yeah man that file is way to big even to transfer, I am on a slow ass machine. I've uploaded that for quick DSL people. Thanks anyway!

haha, the crabman. damn nice guy! i got mad respect for any of his friends.
as far as the file goes, i wouldnt mind taking this 3 meg file, compressing it and transferring it. you will lose quality, but if it is just for a quick crit, it might help some folks out.
if yer a friend o the crabman, i wont even ask you to send me beer in the mail as payment. haha.

reminds me a bitg of a j5 intro, cant remember which... Except that it needs some more err.. umphH!, maybe throw in some more beats / samples in the second bar, or maybe you have something planned already, just needs spicing up I think, there's nothing 'bad' with it, but its a bit bland at the mo.
I think an analogy would be a photoshop pic may look lame if only created in photoshop, but add a photo and things start happening, y'know.. personality.
:)

yeah thanks, I'm ok with converting and things, just wanted to see what you thought of it. I might go and visit his ass sooner than later in BENELUX

No no, I agree rasko in fact thanks for that. I need to for sure spice it up or evern time-strech it and slow it down a bit and remix it, just the intro would be the piano and then the horns and then beats and tehn some more until it builds up and then I BLAST it with something like sampled voices from a movie or some shit. Hmmm, for sure this is ultra beta version.

jasonx, you dont have pcdj red? thats what i use for converting to mp3, its super fast, plus its what i use to listen to my music.
i make my tracks in cubase but cubase is the slowest program in the world to turn a track into mp3.
nice anyways, sounds really good, even tho hip hop is not my thing it sounds good.
how you make your tracks? with a sampler or straight in the computer?
im thinking about getting an mpc or something like that.

good tune. makes me sing-a-long

Surfito, I generally play around with something on piano and then record it with some soft synth that has a sequencer, something like Reason 2.0. I quantise the notes so that they are literally FORCED into sync. I will then add any samples that I might make with an AKAI MPC2000 XL or something like that. Either that or I will record some non-copyrighted sample or groove from some 45 or record. I've got quite a large collection of vinyl at about 3,000 records, categorized accordingly. I will use preset beats in Reason and mix them with sampled stuff, etc.

I don't just mess with Fruityloops crap, though, that's like comparing Adobe Photoshop to MS Paint.

anyody else want to DL 2.5 MB

I listened to it. I think You need to thug it up a lil. the keyboards are too midi sounding...
- unknown0
lilbabyarm, you have an acute sense of hearing man, that's true they are WAY too MIDI sounding. I would for sure change those myself. Thanks.
- unknown0
If I may add an additional small comment about the keyboards...
you should freak em out a lil.
- unknown0
i'll try that too

i don't care if the songs funky or what if something sounds like a keyboard horn sound i tune out

no that's a sample of Harold Better a Jazz artists in Pittsburgh, actually.
