i agree with JasonX and quik ...when you say that "r&b sucks" it is a negative and generalized statement.
i could see if you didn't like a "particular" song or singer ...but swollenelbow said "r&b sucks" ...
statements like that really shows that you could not come up with an intelligent topic to speak about.

thing is the label R&B is applied to most commercial black music, which is fucking shite. there is a lot of decent jazzy soulful stuff out there, but most 'hiphop/r&b' is commercial pap.

I agree. R&B is not very good today. It was good once, in the 60s and early 70s. Now (2003) its became a tool to sell records to young stupid girls and trashy boys. The artists may be good singers, but involve themself in the wrong category of music, the most sellable now R&B, plastic R&B.
