I was really upset, when zack left the band, yielding on the rage's end, but i kinda like the result of the rage's remainders + Chris Cornell..
What are your thoughts??

I liked Cochise but was really disappointed with the album. Sounds a bit like bad Soungarden B-sides to me.
- Jamesh0
I liked RATM and Soungarden the way they were better.

i can't stand his voice.
- Xentic0
I liked Soundgarden and I liked Chris Cornell solo but his voice seems to be changed... I don't really like it... :(

- satan0
sucks big time. try http://QOTSA.com, best band in the world
- thanton0
stupid name "audioslave"
- ********0
yeah, that audioslave cd should be named audiolame...i'd expect a lot better from chris cornell but he's really only at his best when he's writing the songs and playing guitar. rage against the machine aint cool anymore without angry zack yelling.... this band sucks..they really dropped the ball on this one.

yikes, that music is scary

Worst ever. it's very clear who made rage what they were. Especially after seeing that video. Oh man. So bad. Can't wait to hear Zacks new stuff though, saw a quote from questlove that said it was "scary"/

rage was awesome.
soundgarden was awesome.but together, its just chris cornell singing as he would for soundgarden, with the boys from rage, playing as if they were still in rage.
definitly not working.
too bad.

I disagree. I was a big Soundgarden and RATM fan, and although I would prefer seeing those bands reunite, I felt this was a pretty cool project.
If you bought it expecting to hear the old Rage, you would be sorely disappointed though. its a lot closer to Cornell's solo album.
Not mind-blowing but pretty good I thought. worth the price of stealing it from your roomate.

you're all quick to judge!
teh best rock songwriter with the best rock backing band - what more could you ask for!
^_^
- gcabral0
finally somebody said it..
i agree javed..
cornell's voice is one of the best in rock.. of all time..
and that music hits hard too..
i was't looking for rage or soundgarden out of audioslave..
i got exactly what i wanted.. straight forward, kick ass rock..
i liked the name civilian better. that was their first choice i heard..

- jevad0

- gcabral0

I never get why people try and convince others that music is good or not. We can't all possibly like the same things.
There is no right or wrong with music. It's not different then trying to tell somebody that a food they dislike is really good.
I mean sure explain what you do or don't like about it - argue those points but in then end it's either sounds good TO YOU or it doesn't. But if it sounds good to you that doesn't mean it has to sounds good to the guy next to you.
But we all know this anyway. But BB's are full of:
--*insert artist* rules
--no they don't - they suck!
-- no you suckPersonally, the CD is a bit of a let down for me. The style of vocals and the music don't mesh IMO - I prefer the music to the vocals as well.

anyone musically inclined knows that Chris Cornell has been one of the best singer/song writers of our generation. The Audioslave project was cool, but I expected more from Cornell. I'm under the assumption his song writing process was compromised due to Rage input. Audioslave isn't for Rage fans for sure.
- gcabral0
why can't it be for rage fans?? aren't rage fans just rock fans?? the music is still there i think. it's rage music with kick ass cornell vocals and lyrics.
i once read that cornell dropped out of school at a very early age and has only a 6th grade writing level. check out his lyrics. they are simple, but yet complex. they paint pretty pictures to me. especially the stuff on euphoria morning.

oh, what I meant was... everyone I know who was a Rage fan hates Audioslave. Like if they were all expecting the "new rage".
