flash motion blur

  I am wondering... I have taken my symbols in to photoshop and applied motionblurs, taken these back into flash and animated it... making it look like the symbols moving quicker.

  Is there actionscript tricks that can create a similar effect... rapidly duplicating the symbol maybe..

  How do you guys do it?
