the "slow clap" scene near the end of a lot of movies when the working class/underdog main character has found true love with a wealthy celebrity or triumphed over adversity and there's total silence followed by a single person who stands up and starts clapping really slowly, gradually joined by more and more people standing up and clapping slowly until it builds to thunderous applause

p, is this scene in that J-lo movie (which I'll probably never see) or the Sandra Bollocks movie?

I haven't seen either of these, but I know it will be in there.

I hate the sequences when the actors are making /doin something (like cleaning the house, turning an old ugly car into a dreammachine, etc,..)
U get some shitty song while actors are acting busy.
and at the end of the song it's all new, and shiny

hollywood itself, the very soil, is a loathsome cliche ....

a fellow "good guy" has been killed - the protagonists leans over his dying friend and then turns up to the the sky, fists clenched and yells:
"noooooooooooooooooooo!!"
or "bastaaaaaarrrrrrrrds!!"
or if it's a MCBain episode
"maaaaaaaandosaaaa!!!"

the protagonist is stuck in some situation that seems like no one could get out, BUT WAIT! +insert _random_bullshit plot twist and bamm problem solved, que the music.
oddly this was cool in McGuyver.

one well-placed shot from any kind of gun can blow up a helicopter. this will only work after you've taken a couple of potshots in the copter's general direction, decided that you seriously need to make the shot, hold the gun with both hands, and carefully take aim. *cue closeup of aiming eye. kaboom!
