streaming avi files

  My friend needs to stream avi files. Im sure there is a ton of ways to do this as I found from a Google search. Is there a way to stream them in MX?

  Perhaps they need to be converted into another format first, maybe on the fly?
  If anyone has any tips or preferred ways I would appreciate it.
