who thinks Scotland and Ireland were robbed of hosting Euro 2008? - I worked on the bid for the last year and am keen to know what you all think.

it was always going to go to austria/switzerland. their HQ is in geneva fucks sake. and theres a lot of influencial swiss in uefa.

I recon the fact that ireland was in so much trouble trying to ensure that they would have two stadiums for the tournament played a fairly big role.
Croke park, 80,000 capacity is where they were hoping to have it, it was the major problem, croke park is owned by the GAA, (which is for the irish national sports, hurling and gaelic football) the gGAA would not let the FAI use it as soccer is not an irish sport..
