cute ftp only lets me upload 1 file at a time (not a folder full of files) cos its the demo. Aside from buying a full version of cuteftp is there anything I can do? Thanks.
By the way if you are reading this in the UK, put on channel 4 for extreme ironing. just starting in a minute.

i once got into a fight with a girlfriend and she threw an iron at me. it went into the wall. does that count? it was pretty f*cking extreme from where i was standing.

synching is so much easier... whether you use Dreamweaver/GoLive internal synching, or an external FTP app that does synching...
there's also some programs (like DropFTP for OS9) for creating droplets, that will place anything dragged onto it into the appropriate places on the server (or multiple servers)
so you can drop multiple items, files , folders, from multiple locations (all at once) and it works out where each individual bit needs to go on the server...

Is there a way to check for unused files on a server with an ftp program?

you can find out information like that via terminals. you might need to have root access to the box.
