Vinney - I'm off on Sunday, that's why I'm flying to Geneva, just trying to get as much work finished as possible today and tomorrow and get some invoices sent out.
Geneva airport, January 2002: £21 for 3 sandwiches and 3 bottles of water, maybe the water was £2 not £3, still a bleedin' travesty though.

dstlb,
try a Migros instead of the airport for getting your food......
multo cheaper....
1 litre of water around 30p
500 grammes of bread 40p
some Parma ham 80p
some Gruyere Surchoix 60p10% of the price at the airport....
If only the difference between airport and high street prices was the same over here, eh?

Hopefully I won't be there long enough to need to buy food, learnt my lesson last time. Sounds damn tasty though, good recommendations OnD.

yeah, ALMOST everything is actually cheaper in Switzerland than over here....BUT if you have to pay for someone's labour to prepare/ serve something then it will be more expensive cos people earn a decent wage, generally speaking between 2 and 3 times as much as here...
that considered imagine fags at £2 for 20, 500mls of bloody good bottled beer (from the supermarket) for 50p, fruit and veg at a fraction of the price it is in UK....
The airports are notoriously expensive though....
- Vinney20
What is Gruyere Surchoix?
- Vinney20
Have a good trip dstlb mate. When you are back I will be gone. Ill send you an email or two from my trip? HAVE A GOOD TIME and FORGET WORK for a while.
- petzi0
best cheese here, Gruyere Surchoix. salty tastin' mmmmh
- dstlb0
Wish I could forget work but I've got to take the laptop with me due to clients being unable to provide content on schedule :( Still beats working in London though and I've told them that boarding comes first while I'm out there so progress will be pretty slow.
Have a good one yourself, look forward to hearing your adventure stories from around the globe.
2 months of Gruyere and Lardons coming up, mmmmmm cholesterol death awaits.

I almost got an interview at AMP but Royal Mail managed to loose my Folio Samples. A curse on Royal Mail!
