Hi guys,
I am new around here. I wanted to share a project that I recently completed called Closure. It's a collection of poems and images. It started out as a letter to a friend which turned into a poem and then into all this insanity.
You can have a look at it http://www.cafefive.com/closure/…
Special thanks to Biofreak for letting me use his poem "Sparrow"
Take Care.

yo!
looks even better! cant tell if its just the machine that i am on, but your type does appear a bit smaller. nice.
text too large kills.
the scrolling thing though. i love the idea, but maybe a graphic element that would draw your eye more. nothing drastic, btu something that doesnt blend in as much as "this page scrolls horizontally". then again if someone doesnt read the text and see that, then there is no reason why their dumbasses are gonna look to scroll anyway. fuck those people anyway. =)
saf, man... id say youre in the right biz now! nice to see you on NT.

thanx man. i make some subtle changed to the image on the left to make the tezt more readable.
What do you suggest for the scroll bar? I can try changing the color - or I could use the regular IE scroll bar.
How is Sepia coming along? I am much too excited about it. Keep me posted.

and yeah... i dont look at what i type and i dont read it after i've typed it - not until i hit the broadcast button.

well, i know that some folksare gonna bitch at me, but i can almost see a really painfully slow moving nasty vector pointy thing (arrow) kindof just barely moving but just enough to draw your eye while not distracting.
wow... that was pretty vague eh? heheh.
dont tell me you dont know flash, cuz i dont wanna here it. we'll just have to work out a deal or something. =)
sepia is coming along slowly. ive been pouring my time into Methodic. sound clips and layouts, but sepia is still coing along (if slower than it was). i will kep you posted though.

This is a great project (and an even greater title).
Reminds me of a piece I did once. An image not based around poetry, but random thoughts/feelings which I felt were better left unexpressed.
Closure. I love it.

Thank you very much pseudonimrod for your comments.
I would love to see the piece that you did.

Do you really feel like a project like this has brought you closure in whatever circumstances you've come across?
Creativity can be so theraputic, & I admit drawing has been a strengthener for me in the past.

Brooke,
Personally, projects like these do not offer any sort of closure. However, I do wish it were that simple.
Creative projects do offer a brief time of escape however and are a definate theraputic device for me. They're also a great way to log memories - even if they're the shit ones I'd rather forget.
