Blogger for news?

I have to do a site for a friend and was wondering the best way to have an updatable news column like these
<-------- and the million others out there just like it...i don't know how to do it and i have wanted to know for a long time anyway...can someone please help me out?? What's the best, easiest way? If it involves css and html, i'm screwed. And i ain't usin' one of bloggers cheesey templates.PLEASE!

i use blogger with my own css & it works fine for me: http://www.zbolena.com

yea, what the hells wrong with blogger. you make your OWN template, dummy! plus blogger archives for you. so if you're not a backend programmin whiz, use blogger. its simple and you can customize it.
