some people find it offensive if you dont dress up when you are going to meet with them.
you should dress for the occation, nothing wrong with that and it shows respect.
i personally dont like it if i ask a girl out and she doesnt dress up to go out with me. that means im not important, i shouldnt be spending my time with her then.
the same way a client can think like that, you didnt dress up, he thinks you think he is not important and he shouldnt be spending his money on you since you wont apreciate it.
sorry, but thats the game, you have to be a true celebrity to do whatever you feel like.
refer to that old salvador dali quote.

mrdobolina. big brands homogenize culture.
but when they recycle their own designs, that's just sad. fifty zillion dollads and fifty designers and the sh*t looks the same as it did 30 years ago.
what's that?

My bosses generally wear jeans and a t-shirt to work.
But we work in a small 40,000 person town and barely anyone dresses up.
One of my bosses dresses up occasionally if he knows he has a big client meeting, however.
I don't get to talk to clients, so I don't worry about it.

just because you dont like something doesnt make it shit. realize that, nuflo.

I take my dress cues from Bill the Butcher- a big top hat, ill-fitting plaid pants and waistcoat, swinging a giant hmemade axe.

Clients expect designers to look creative and different, not like an extra out of the Matrix!

there is nothing wrong with
wearing a suit to an interview.
wear what makes you feel comfortable, and what makes you look like a pro.

this thread has diverted so far from where it started it is sick.

nah, i'm pretty sure those three stripe matching polyester outfits suck. it was an opinion before but now it's pretty much just a fact.

just kidding, lighten up.

gotta agree with you there lostdog. suits are ok. what're ya gonna do, money only gives money to money, not to cool arty shit unfortunatley.

Nuflo, I hope you don't expect to corner the market with your cutting edge fashion. If so, you will be sorely disappointed, kinda like I was after digging through your index.htm code to find the link to your flash page after your jaunty-ass flash detect didn't work correctly.
The work should always speak more than what shirt was clean this morning, or how much that aformentioned shirt cost, who made it, if it has a collar or buttons...
You talk a mean game with your speak of "colorways" and us being homogenous because of large labels, but all of your 'couture' is nothing more than rejects from Urban Outfitters, at best. This is why I stick to jeans and black t-shirts.
