hi. I wanna draw your attention to a great man who just passed away. Jules Engel was a key color designer that reinvented color for cartoons with his work at UPA studios on Alvin and the Chipmunks and Mr. Magoo. He was also a celebrated independant abstract filmmaker and painter, a real genuine wiseman, and he founded the Experimental Animation department at CalArts, which almost single-handedly spawned the small pool of experimental animators living today. He was full of magic and will be remembered for it.
