Those experiemental comments are very telling indeed. Is it a question of no-job Sticks vs. Intelligence? In the meantime, my website, which is highly experimental is represented by NYCs premier interactive agencies and I work with artists who produce sites like the one above, click the design gallery to enter...among other big projects...generally, the going rate of an Interactive Designer is well more than double that of a print designer...Its like, you don't have to put every car commercial you make up front on your portfolio site, its up to you. You CAN be an artist and a commerical artist a la fois.
