A new photography center at the Distillery District (Gooderham and Worts) in downtown Toronto is currently looking for qualified people to look after their Digital Photo Lab. It's called Pikto, and it's gonna be quite cool.
Pikto will have a gallery, a photo bookstore and café lounge, C41 developing and a digital lab (they can go from digital/film to photographic prints and do high-res scans). They are also going to offer something unique to Toronto: Pikto will have digital darkroom rentals - Apple workstations with Photoshop and 20" screens hooked up to high-end scanners, large format printers and their digital minilab. This will be a unique way for photographers to scan, edit and print digital files while avoiding spending large sums of money on equipment or custom services.
Pikto will be opening in late May.
