One year for Halloween he dressed up as Mr. Spock. He wore the customary blue Vulcan jersey with the fake pointy ears, and his hair was combed forward. After hours of drinking downtown, he walked the main city block towards his car, and passed hundreds of drunken kids on the street. A carload of attractive blondes passed. With her head out the window, one of them yelled, "Hey Mr. Spock, that's a cool costume!" The girls giggled and pointed in his direction, and the attention made him feel good. Moving with an extra hop in his step, he turned and waved. But he basked in his glory too long. With his head still to the side, he walked straight into a street lamp. His head snapped back and he fell to the ground. The girls laughed and drove off.
