mysterious white background

  i was having problems with my preloader...the problem turned out to be that i just couldnt see my white text bc the background was white.

  what doesnt make sense, is why the background was white. the movie itself had a black backgroudn...there was nothing except text on the first 2 frames and a rectangle without a fill

  my only solution to fixing the problem, was to put a giant black square on teh bottom layer of the movie.

  has anyone EVER expereinced this problem before???
