  since rand is on holiday i take the liberty of posting another youtube link. La Jetee is a beautiful sc-fi short from 1962 by chris marker, it was the inspiration for gilliams twelve monkeys. Made up almost entirely of black and white photographs (apart from one videoshot) this is an extraordinary piece of beauty.
