I designed a shirt for 3sixteen's winter line called "Cousins". It's a play on the lyrics from the Nas track "NY State of Mind", easily one of my all-time favourite songs on arguably the best hip hop album ever, Illmatic. Nas says "I never sleep cuz sleep is the cousin of death." That's the standout quote of the album to me as he's pretty much saying you always gotta be hustling. I really wanted to do something funny with it rather than it being another serious graphic so I interpretted it like Sleepy and Death were actual cousins.
