    Without a body, there was still hope amid all the sorrow that maybe, just maybe, Charles Frederick Tharp was still alive.

    That hope was dashed Monday when a body found floating earlier this month in the bay near Red Rock, off the Richmond shoreline, was identified as that of the popular graphic designer.
