not an answer to your question, but:
inspring children to use the internet is like inspring kids to sit in front of the television.
we should inspire children to read for christ's sake.
i do think kids should be moderately introduced to the computer. however no internet until jr. high at least.
the internet is just not a place for 8 year olds.
