why? because you "design" for the web.

the web is not print. the web is not tv. it is the web. it was and is built for delivery of information and content.

xhtml/css coupled with semantic markup technique allows for the interchange of data between all clients. whether that be cell phone, pda, thin client, pc, mac, xbox, tivo, etc., etc.

the web is markup and script. that is what it was built on and for.

it isn't that hard to understand.

there is a right way and a wrong way. finally, people are pushing for the right way to build websites.

you need to know it and adapt to using it if you call yourself a web developer or designer.

    that is why.

i really don't understand the fight? if presented with the correct way to do something, and it makes life easier in the long run, it should be natural evolution.
