Padme died shortly after giving birth to Leah and Luke, Anakin gets sucked in by the Emperor, who is really the Chancellor, all the jedi but yoda, and obi-wan get killed off, and obi wan goes to kill anakin on some volcanic planet, he cuts anakins legs off in a battle and anakin almost died as he gets scorched by lava. The Emperor goes to retreive anakin and turns him into darth vader.
