I had a friend in college who got stalked. It was his lab partner in Biology class. They spoke for 5 minutes one day, exchanged numbers, and the next thing you know he's getting called that same weekend from jail, this girl begging him to come bail her out. He was like, who is this?
She started calling his girlfriend at work and making up crazy stories. My friend was too nice, and didn't nip it in the bud, and it only got worse. It turns out one day, as she was just following him from the library to the cafeteria to his afternoon classes, that he went to campus police to file a report. The cops told him without any concrete proof they could only open a file and monitor the situation. Just then the girl walks into the police station looking for him-and the rookie detective saw her wild eyes, and suddenly had all the proof he needed to make an arrest.
