Dude..you asked the right question. Jox knows my dilemma. I was looking at Acura TL for 2 months. I test drove Acura RL, Acura TL, Infiniti M35 Sport, G35s both coupe and sedan, Mercedes E320 and C320, BMW 530i, M3 and Audis. Let me tell you very objective opinion.

Although RL and TL are very nice cars ($49k / $36k respectively), the quality of the build on them is questionable. I'm not talking about the engine, I'm talking about the type of leather, the interior features and the unavoidable rattle you will get from them even after 1 week of driving.

RL is truly a techy car simply because it doesn't have any options and comes with everything standard. Pretty much the same goes for TL (you get to add Navi or not), so from that side Acura is definitely the best bang for the buck. But listen, best bang for the buck rarely means luxury and soul. In Phoenix, every 3rd car these days is TL and every other car is Accord. They are reliable, but God forbid that something goes wrong, service with Acura is more then questionable.

I've had a very bad experience with all 3 Acura dealerships in the valley. I gave them $5k downpayment, waited for a month just to get a response when I can expect my TL at that point and when I was sick and tired of waiting for them to communicate with me, I took my money back and went to get something else. That's not what I call luxury car brand customer service. If this happens when I'm buying a car, I can only imagine what I would have to deal with if something goes wrong. Actually I know, I read bad stories from Acurazine forum with Acura Corporate Services not doing shit when problems rise.

Now, after looking hard at other cars, I've decided to go back to my VW heritage and got myself a car with real soul. When I say soul, I say that you'll be breaking people's necks on the street, you'll see another model of that car on the street once in few months if even that. I'm telling you, it's a great feeling. It's a feeling of "Never follow".
People can say whatever they want, but BMWs are all over the place, everybody who makes a little bit more money goes and buys BMW. Now, we don't want to blend with the crowd do we.

To cut the story short, there's nothing better with technology, luxury, safety, and warranty like Audi. Everything is covered except tires. Which means all maintenance issues as well. And you will be definitely unique.

    Just look at my baby:

Oh btw, the inside is heavenly. Leather top notch quality, interior ergonomics at it's finest. There's a reason why it was named "World Car of The Year".

Good luck, but I say Audi all the way.
