pulsar_nl,
Job wise, it took a while. Keep in mind that I packed and moved on Sept. 11, 2001.
I worked retail part time for a while, then temped for a while, then worked as the receptionist at the law firm I'm at, where I've now been in the Marketing department for 1 1/2 years and have slowly phased into doing a majority of things I went to school for.
Web design/development, learning web security aspects for extranets, designing extranets, doing print work, client services, and have a hand in our firm rebranding efforts. It's fun and I really like it, and I bet there are many other people who go through a similiar path to actually doing what they hope/want to do.
