old logo is many times better, in a totally different league; yeah it does make you wonder why they changed to this. I'm sure there must have been much internal arguement and discussion going on before the mistake happened.
The original logo and branding is perfect. It's visually pleasing, timeless, engrained in the minds of every gamer on the planet, etc. etc.
The new branding looks like a taco bell spiderman movie promo tie in special edition drink cup or something.
Not only is it ugly and campy, but it's a shame. I'm hoping that it's just a beta for preliminary images (possibly to help hype Spiderman 3) and the final will ship with the correct branding. Mistakes like these usually amount to who has the most power in the company, not necessairly the best taste.
