I would assume some math would be involved. Since the images are going to be big on the side of the van, there's no reason to have them above 150dpi on the final output. If the side of the van were 168 inches (hypothetically speaking) then let's just cut that in half to 84 inches to accomodate our photoshop area, then have the image res. at 300dpi. You could maybe even go to 1/3 or 1/4 the final output size and bump the rez's appropriately so the final output is 150 dpi at actual size.
