Nairn,
I'm the exact same way. In fact, my whole circle of friends at them time had a close-to complete disregard for our own well being. (Typical American high school way of living). I hoped at the time that my friend's passing away would 'shock' the group into reflecting on their habits and quality of life... for the majority it has, but there are always a few who remain w/ the same mentality. Only message is to be responsible on an every day/hour/minute/second basis.
