i agree with the fella about the lawyer. Cover yourself as quickly as you possibly can and don't do or sign anything now you might regret later. She seems to have made a massive decision about your lives without you already... you need to look out for your own interests or at least hold off on any decisions until you are out of shock.
And get your fucking dog back for a start.
