they definitely haven't been the same since pinkerton. everyone has been hating on weezer since then because the songs just aren't nearly as good.
overall, i think the new record isn't that great, but its definitely a significant improvement over the last two records. there's 4 or 5 tracks that are pretty solid. i might just think that because my expectations were so low though. its ashame rivers can't seem to write good lyrics anymore...
