Or you could just hang with him more and drop little clues as to how you want to be emotionally and intimately (right?) involved with him. If he still doesn't get it, you'll have to take some drastic measures, as randoman noted.
I'm not sure about whether or not this will end up good (b/c you never know) but I suppose it's worth delving into.
