After not finding my desired über-machine, I 'settled' for a Sony Vaio (s2xp) earlier this year and I must admit, I'm very happy with it..
..nice screen, light, small footprint, well-designed - it doesn't even trip up when I'm multitasking a 1gb PSD, websurfing and Illustrator-ing.
The only thing I don't like is the lack of a Numerical Pad.. but that's hardly it's fault!
My only experience with Toshibas is the BIG FUCKER my friend has - which looks clunky Plebian consumer-item - not the honed-workhouse my designer-aesthetic demands... :)
