depending how fast your machine is i would say the biggest issue is just setting aside some alone time for your computer to index...my g5 finished pretty quick but my laptop took like 3 days (granted it's a g3)...it's not worth the trouble to try and work while it's indexing
i had this weird thing where the "copy as pdf" setting in illustrator stopped working when copy/pasting to photoshop...adding the other option in the clipboard preferences in illustrator fixed that...
i don't use suitcase because it ripped my g5 a new one so i can't help you there...
set your weather widget by your zip code because the city setting probably won't be accurate...hot corners for dashboard are awesome
