This happened to me. I'll give the short version. This is true.
I was a camp counselor. The campers slept in dorms and counselors shared apartments in the dorm. I shared with two others. Popular myth was that indian ghosts were on campus and children would play in your room at night.
One night I was having a nightmare. In the nightmare I had to handle a situation with some campers. I walked into a room, the door shut behind me and there was a kid with a knife. I fell back onto a bed and then I woke up...
when i woke up I could see a ghost image of the kid from my nightmare standing at the end of the bed. he faded away slowly. it was scary as hell. i didn't know if i was coming out of the nightmare or not but i've never "seen" remnants of a dream like that before.
then i got this creepy feeling...
one of the other counselors started tossing in their bed like he was distressed. i froze up and just got this instinct to check on the other roomate and a few minutes later he started doing the same thing.neither of them could remember having nightmares the next day.
