I don't know if the degree will get you more respect from your clients...
i think good work, understanding of their business and providing a creative solution to their business problems are the way to go.
School is great and give you some time to think and learn, but I think the experience you get in the real world is better because in reality, there's always problems and you learn about contingency plans and how to deal with complex problems.
