Yeah like some programs I would imagine would give you some opportunities you wouldn't normally have.
From what I have heard, doing a post grad at Royal Academy in The Hague, NL, for type design, you actually do some of the old methods like stone inscriptions, punch cutting, and of course calligraphy before you even go into anything digital, which I think would be awesome for anyone who wants to "master" such an area.
