I agree with him. Illustrator is very much like learning to drive a manual transmission (stick shift).
At first you hate it. But with time your learn to refine your movements.
I still haven't mastered it. After working with it for over 6 years.
Brooke is dedicated to her craft. And that is the best advice I can give you.
