the barbican is wicked, i don't know what you're talking about. and i'm looking at the damn thing right now! it's nice and close.

i used to use a program called arkaos, which is really easy to navigate and works really well. you can use the keyboard to run it, but i find it's nicer to plug in a midi keyboard.

these days (since my major raver arsenals are all still living in the states) i've been pre-loading dvds with stuff and just letting them go. it means a lot more prep and it's less fun, but i'm slowly learning final cut well enough to have more freedom with my work and it also frees me up to enjoy the party rather than being tethered to the vj booth all night long.

it's much less of a performance, which i miss, but the kind of stuff i'm doing these days isn't really dependent upon the music (although i miss that interaction with the dj quite a lot). i've been getting back into rave decor as well, which is, in part, where the real fun is to be had!

i'd like to do it all, basically. but the raves i've been working here are soooooooo big. it's a few hundred people putting this stuff together. not so much the crew of thirty or so that would work on the parties i used to do on the west coast. different vibe completely.

sorry again, people! i just went off the path totally.
