my point is simply, in this country, as a school, if you if spank/strike a child, you're going to get sued.
>> funny, cause when i was a kid in grade school i remember getting spanked by my teachers. what did my parents do when i got home and told them? spanked me again for misbehaving. i don't know where this sue happy blame someone else for my bad parenting bullshit started but you can put that on the list of the hundreds of things wrong with a majority of american citizens today.as far as restraining the child, and removing him/her from the classroom until the parents/guardians can pick them up - i fully support that.

>>> isn't that what they were doing? tried removing the kid? if he/she is throwing a tantrum like that if you grab them a bit hard to walk them out and leave a bruise guess what, tha'ts a million dollars. if they fall while your walking them, that's 2 million. if there is a camera filming that's another million. and then you have to deal with not only a screaming child but a screaming adult when you call the parent telling them to leave work (if they do work) and pick up their kid. yeah right.
