I didn't say lock her in the office all day.
Also, the reason for calling her parents was basically to inform them of your desired actions (restraining her, calling the cops, etc).
You inform the parents so you protect yourself.
Any school has to do that to tread carefully when the subject of, guess what? lawsuits is a possibility.Sure, my saying she should be locked in the office might not be the best move, but I was thinking of that more of keeping teachers/the principal away from her and accusations of hitting her until you got the OK from the parents as to an agreed upon course of action.
